PV was first introduced to the team at GuestDriven by an angel investor in the company. We watched the team with interest for a few years before being reintroduced in 2013 by the VC who had led the Seed+ round. By this time, the company had achieved some revenue traction (under our current thesis threshold), and was supported by a reputable group of experienced VC firms and private investors who served as senior executives in the travel industry.
Following our investment in the company’s Series A round, we joined the GuestDriven Board and helped the company to grow and raise additional capital. A pivot from hotel guest-facing enterprise SaaS to a transactional mobile pre-stay and check-in upgrade platform proved difficult to scale within the fundraising envelope that they could achieve, and the Board decided to sell off the assets to Porter & Sail.
