The full list will be announced by Mediacorp Canada Inc. in a special magazine published nationally in The Globe and Mail on Friday, April 12, 2019. The award recognizes small and medium-sized employers with exceptional workplaces and forward-thinking human resource policies.

Dejero, who grew its team by over 40% in 2018, was granted this award based on its commitment to supporting its employees through the many programs that contribute to a true work-life balance and enjoyable workplace experience. Dejero is proud to offer employees a health care spending account and a separate personal spending account to help cover the cost of wellness related expenses that best suit employees’ needs. In support of mental wellbeing in the workplace, Dejero is part of the Not Myself Today campaign, in conjunction with Canadian Mental Health Association, and has developed its own internal mental health initiative called Mental Health Mondays to facilitate a weekly dialogue to help reduce the stigma around mental health in the workplace.

Now in its 6th year, Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers is an editorial competition that recognizes the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that offer the nation’s best workplaces and forward-thinking human resources policies. Employers are evaluated by the editors at Canada’s Top 100 Employers using the same criteria as the Top 100 competition: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement.
