It has been an exciting year at Miovision so far. As we work to scale our business to deliver our vision to build the foundations for smart cities, we’re experiencing tremendous growth.

Today, our growth has been recognized by the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ program. For the third year in a row, Miovision has been named to the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Canada and the North America Fast 500™ lists. Miovision has been ranked 32nd of the 50 fastest growing companies in Canada with a 305 percentage revenue growth from 2011 to 2014.

So what’s behind our growth trajectory? It’s our industry-leading traffic solution, Scout.

Scout is used by cities to automate the labour-intensive process of counting cars at intersections. With the data that is collected, city planners can improve traffic flow and ultimately reduce commute times for citizens. Scout has been used all over the world (in 52 countries, to be exact) to help solve traffic problems. In North America, we count over 50% of intersections every year. In total, Scout has processed 2M hours of video-data, representing a staggering 2.5B cars counted. Enough cars to circle the world 285 times!
